ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Staff Sgt. Andrew Portell, Staff Non-Commissioned Officer of Recruiting Substation St. Louis, recognizes Madison Blackmon and her mentor Jennifer Conway of Affton High school, for their achievements at the 2019 Battles Won Academy. Only 100 students nationwide are selected for the Marine Corps' prestigious Semper Fidelis All-American Program. The selected All-Americans attend the exclusive Battles Won Academy held during the summer, where they will meet and share stories with national leaders and influencers. Attendees will network with Marines, athletic leaders, industry leaders, national leaders, and leaders in innovative thinking, all of which will help them create opportunities that will accelerate their futures.
