Gunnery Sgt. Max Coons, an Officer Candidate School platoon sergeant, rushes his platoon out of a building at the 9th Marine Corps District's OCS Preparatory Weekend April 11 at Fort McCoy, Wis. Coons was one of four platoon sergeants to help bring a taste of OCS to nearly 200 candidates. The preview let candidates experience the yelling of platoon sergeants, running a physical fitness test in harsh conditions and finding their way through a land navigation course.
