Sgt. Christopher Sorrell motivates a poolee May 2 during the combat gear run portion of Recruiting Station Des Moines' annual field meet. More than 400 poolees from across all of RS Des Moines' 12 recruiting substations competed in a wheel barrel race, tug-o-war, combat gear run, dizzy izzy and a modified combat fitness test. The field meet was designed to bring all of the RS's more than 400 poolees together for camaraderie and team building in a fun, competitive environment. Sorrell is a recruiter in Kearney, Nebraska.
