OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Former Marine Robert Sander stands with Capt. Gary Cox, executive officer for Recruiting Station Kansas City and displays his birthday cake from local Marines July 7. Sander is a 90-year-old Marine Corps veteran who continues to serve his community through volunteering at the St. Joseph Medical Center, Overland Park, Kan. RS Kansas City gave the cake in celebration of Sander's 90th birthday and in gratitude for his service.
