OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Former Marine Robert Sander holds up a picture of the silent drill platoon July 7. The picture and plaque were gifts from the Marines of Recruiting Station Kansas City in gratitude for Sander's years of service. The 90-year-old Marine Corps veteran continues to serve his community through volunteering at the St. Joseph Medical Center, Overland Park, Kan.
