Irving Schlossenberg is interviewed by a Kansas City television station during the 2009 Lenexa Police Department Marine Corps birthday celebration. Schlossenberg was the oldest living Marine combat correspondent at the time. He died of congestive heart failure Sunday. Schlossenberg served in World War II from 1942 to 1945 during which he served in five pacific campaigns including four first wave landings.
