Twenty-four young men and women march into the center of Target Field during a pre-game ceremony Sept. 5 in commemoration of the 1967 Twins Platoon. These twenty-two men and two women, who are from the local area, took the oath of enlistment and were sworn into the Marine Corps in commemoration of the group of 150 warriors who swore in on June 28, 1967. This 2011 Twins Platoon shipped off to boot camp the next day to start their journey toward becoming a U.S. Marine. For additional imagery from the event, visit www.facebook.com/rstwincities.
