4th Law Enforcement Battalion's Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Sidney R. Park and Sgt. Maj. Trevor Kent uncase the Colors during a unit activation ceremony June 8. The battalion originally activated Aug. 24, 1943, in Camp Pendleton, Calif., as 4th Military Police Company. It deactivated two years later after participating in four World War II campaigns. It reactivated in 1966 then deactivated in 1975 after relocating to New Orleans. The battalion reactivated a second time Sept. 26, 2012.
