COTTLEVILLE, MO – Julie and David Vinnedge are presented a plaque dedicating the Cottleville Post Office in memory of their son Lance Cpl. Phillip Vinnedge in Cottleville Sept. 23. Lance Cpl. Vinnedge was an Anti-tank Assaultman with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment deployed to Helmand Provence, Afghanistan in 2010 when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device on October 13, 2010. Also in the vehicle with Vinnedge were Cpl. Justin J. Cain, Lance Cpl. Joseph E. Rodewald and Pfc. Victor A. Drew. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Erik S. Brooks Jr.)
