Major Christopher Buck, Commanding Officer of Recruiting Station Lansing, 9th Marine Corps District, presents Sarah Bulthuis, retired Spring Lake varsity volleyball head coach, with the 2013-2014 Recruiting Station Lansing Semper Fidelis Michigan High School Coach of the Year Award. RS Lansing selects one male and one female coach with this award each year for their contributions to their teams, communities and students. Bulthuis retired after 27 years of coaching at Spring Lake, finishing her career with 44 wins in her final season.
