Staff Sgt. Adam Halter, Marine Corps Recruiting Station Kansas City, Recruiting Sub-Station St. Joseph staff noncommissioned officer-in-charge, speaks with a coach about the Combat Fitness Test during the Glazier Clinic at the Westin Crown Center Feb. 6, 2015. The CFT is used to test both the physical endurance as well as mental endurance of Marines. It is in this way that coaches may request recruiters to come to their schools and perform the CFT with their players to determine how effective their own conditioning programs have worked and also to build teamwork through several events outside of the normal routine of football practice.
