Colonel David M. Fallon, the 9th Marine Corps District commanding officer, presents awards to Marines during the Operation Herculean Effort ceremony in San Diego, Calif., Oct. 11. The ceremony was conducted in order to recognize the Marine recruiters from the 9th MCD, who went above and beyond in finding the most highly qualified men and women to join its ranks during the two-month recruiting offensive.
