Emerson Dycus, a Green Bay, Wisconsin, native, is seen here during a Civil Air Patrol function. Dycus was selected from over 500 applicants to take part in the Marine Corps’ Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. The academy will enhance her leadership and teamwork skills while also introducing her to the armed forces and opportunities that lie in the armed forces (Courtesy photo).
