Maj Pat Leet was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He commissioned in the Marine Corps in May 2013.
He attended The Basic School and The Infantry Officer Course in Quantico, Virginia in 2014.

From 2015 to 2018, he served as a platoon commander and executive officer in Company A, First Battalion, Seventh Marines.

In 2019, Maj Leet checked in to The Basic School and served as an instructor until 2021. Following completion of this tour, Maj Leet attend the U.S. Army's Maneuver Captains Career Course in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Following graduation, Maj Leet checked back in to First Battalion, Seventh Marines. From 2022 to 2025 he served as the Weapons Company Commander and Battalion Operations Officer.

In April 2025, Maj Leet assumed command of Recruiting Station Kansas City, 9th Marine Corps District. Major Leet has a wife, Erika, and two children.
